This Care Experienced Week, and every week, The Oversight Board wants to share our love with the care experienced community, their family, friends and supporters. Let's celebrate all that is good together!

This year’s theme, Forward to the Future is such an important one. Our latest report said that if keeping the promise was like building a home, the foundations have been laid and some of the walls are up, but after six years the country should be much further forward. A house is not a home because the plans exist, it becomes one when there is food in the cupboards, heat in the radiators, security behind the door, and people who know they are safe, loved and belong. This is the future that everyone with care experience should have, and this future has to become a reality, quickly.

We use our collective voice to push for the necessary change needed to ensure the right support is available at the right time to everyone who needs it. Please know we will continue to do just that. Our commitment and resolve are steadfast. We know how important it is that the promise is kept.
